At Mundicenter, we strive to support the world around us.
We believe in mutual support and in respect for both the Community and the Environment, expressed through initiatives that benefit present and future generations, grounded in awareness and social support actions.

The APCC - Portuguese Association of Shopping Centers promoted on June 21st the signing of a Pact for Sustainability, joined by Mundicenter and other associates and operators in the sector , which incorporates the commitment to integrate sustainable practices in all aspects of the operations of the Shopping Centers.
The pact is based on three main pillars: environmental responsibility; social responsibility; and economic responsibility and ethical conduct.

In September 2022, Oeiras Parque once again presented an artistic initiative aimed at raising visitors’ awareness of the importance of sustainability for the future of our planet. Created by visual artist Bruno Costa, the installation “Waste Wave” depicts a 3D wave made from plastic waste collected through the shopping centre’s recycling programme.
Surfer Miguel Blanco was the Ambassador of this sustainable initiative, with Associação Natureza Portugal | World Wide Fund for Nature Portugal (ANP|WWF) also joining the cause.
From May to June 2022, Oeiras Parque brought together art, sport and environmental awareness in a unique exhibition.
With the support of the Portuguese Surfing Federation, the exhibition featured competition boards used by renowned athletes, as well as two sustainable surfboards made from cork, created by shaper LaCrAu.
The exhibition also included a striking and distinctive artwork displayed on a board owned by Barbeau, produced using waste collected from the beach, along with a series of photographs capturing some of the finest and most defining moments of Portuguese surfers.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness of the excessive use of plastic and the waste left on beaches.
During the summer of 2021, visitors to Santo Amaro de Oeiras beach were invited to dispose of plastic waste in a metal fish-shaped collection container placed on the sand.
Following the collection, the fish structure and all the plastic deposited inside it were removed from the beach by the artistic atelier Skeleton Sea — Oeiras Parque’s artistic partner for this project — which subsequently created an art installation exhibited at Oeiras Parque throughout September 2021.
The community is at the core of our commitment to social responsibility. We are dedicated to creating a positive and lasting impact, contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable future for those who need it most.

In October 2025, Amoreiras 360º Panoramic View once again joined forces with Make-A-Wish Portugal to help grant the wish of a child to visit Disneyland Paris.
This marked the seventh time that Amoreiras 360º Panoramic View has supported the foundation’s mission of granting wishes to children and young people aged between 3 and 17 who are living with serious, progressive, degenerative or malignant illnesses, providing them with moments of hope and joy.
For every ticket sold for Amoreiras 360º Panoramic View, €1 was donated to Make-A-Wish. Over the years, Amoreiras 360º Panoramic View has helped transform the lives of eleven children.
The 23rd edition of Mundicenter’s blood donation campaign took place across three shopping centres within the Mundicenter group — Oeiras Parque and Strada Outlet, from 28 to 30 July, and Braga Parque, on 13 and 14 August 2025.
“Joining Forces for a Good Cause” once again served as this year’s motto, reinforcing the importance of blood donation — the most precious gift — and highlighting how every contribution plays a vital role in saving lives. Dedicated stands were set up within the shopping centres, fully equipped to ensure safe and comfortable donations. The blood collection sessions were conducted under the responsibility of the Portuguese Institute of Blood and Transplantation (IPST).
In 2025, the initiative brought together 433 donors and resulted in the collection of 323 units of blood over the course of the campaign.

Between 7 and 16 December 2023, the Mundicenter Group offered its visitors the opportunity to win prizes while supporting Acreditar – Association of Parents and Friends of Children and Young People with Cancer, through a special activation that contributed to the collective fundraising goal of €30.000.

Between 11 and 31 May 2023, Amoreiras Shopping Center invited its visitors to support a solidarity-driven initiative by giving a new life to toys, games and books in good condition that could bring joy to many children.
The initiative resulted in the collection of approximately 2,400 items, which were donated to the children and young people supported by Centro de Promoção Juvenil – Casa da Estrela, among other institutions.
This campaign followed the theme of the exhibition held at Amoreiras Shopping Center, where artist Robert Bradford demonstrated how objects can be reused and transformed into striking and vibrant works of art.
The artist uses a wide variety of plastic toys — including dolls, toy cars and puzzle pieces — to create unique sculptures. Some of his works incorporate up to 3,000 toy pieces and other plastic materials.
In 2022, Arena Shopping once again joined one of the causes that most resonate with local communities: the fight against animal abandonment.
The initiative’s main objective was to promote animal adoption, in collaboration with several associations from the Oeste region.
A total of five animals were adopted in 2021 and seven in 2022 during the course of the exhibitions.
In September 2022, the Mundicenter Group joined forces in a solidarity initiative to provide school supplies to several institutions located within the catchment areas of its shopping centres. In total, approximately 200 children benefited from this nationwide campaign, which supported students from primary and lower secondary education through to upper secondary level.
Delivered at the start of the school year, the school kits primarily included backpacks and pencil cases, gym bags, trainers, tracksuits, clothing and essential school materials such as notebooks, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, rulers, felt-tip pens, colouring pencils and markers. For students attending upper secondary education, the kits also included laptop bags and calculators, among other items.
The preparation of the school kits involved the participation of several stores across Mundicenter’s shopping centres.
Supported Institutions:
In June and September 2022, Oeiras Parque and Amoreiras Shopping Center hosted the exhibition “Artists for Ukraine”, featuring works donated by 23 artists, including Ukrainian refugees living in Portugal. A total of 85 artworks were sold, raising €11,502. The project also involved the participation of 41 volunteers.
Strada Outlet also hosted a solidarity exhibition, this time composed of children’s drawings created by refugee children living in Portugal, with all proceeds fully donated to Centro de Desenvolvimento Baby Shark.

The Zero Waste Movement, which Mundicenter endorsed, was created with the purpose of ending food waste, helping people with needs and the environment by reducing organic waste.
This movement was organised by the Dariacordar Association under the high patronage of the Presidency of the Portuguese Republic, and calls for people to recover this type of waste, to help address the needs of some Portuguese families.
