Mundicenter is also investing in new concepts of spaces,
bringing together retailing and leisure activities

In 1998, Mundicenter - Sociedade Imobiliária, S.A., was transformed into an SGPS or holding company, and its assets were split between three companies so as to separate each business area.

The holding company was entrusted with co-ordination and with dealing with common and ancillary tasks (strategic planning, budgets, management control, investments, human resources, institutional relations, …), while the subsidiaries and other companies deal with the operating activities, divided into business areas:

Shopping malls
Company consultancy and services
Commercial parks
Maintenance and engineering

The main shareholder of Mundicenter SGPS, SA, is the Alves Ribeiro Group (86%), through various of the companies belonging to this group.


	The Company plans to continue to invest in this business area. About 50% of this investment will be self-financed. With regard to its main business area, Mundicenter, in addition to the Shopping Malls, is also investing in new concepts of spaces, bringing together retailing and leisure activities. Its first project in this area is located in Cascais and its inauguration is planned by the end of 2008. It is financially solid, has ongoing ability to generate financial resources, management credibility and a fast, efficient decision structure.
